BLADE

Privacy Policy

Last updated 5 October 2026

Blade is operated by Blade ("we"). This policy explains what the Blade app and this website collect, why, and what you can do about it. Questions: rolandofgill2@gmail.com.

What we collect

We don't use advertising, we don't track you across other apps or websites, and we don't sell or rent your data.

Why we use it

Your weight, food and measurements are health related data. We process them only to provide the features you use, based on your consent, which you can withdraw by deleting the data or your account.

The AI coach

The coach is powered by Claude, an AI model provided by Anthropic, PBC. The first time you open the coach, the app asks your permission. When you ask a question, we send Anthropic your question, the recent conversation, and the data needed to answer it: your food log, weigh-ins, journal, measurements and phases. When you ask for a photo estimate, we send the photo you chose. Anthropic processes it as our service provider to generate the answer and, under its commercial terms, does not use it to train its models. You can switch the coach's access off at any time in Settings. AI answers can be wrong; they are not medical advice.

Who else processes your data

These providers may process data outside your country. Where the law requires it, transfers are covered by appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

For as long as you have an account. When you delete your account, your data is deleted from our database at once and disappears from backups within 30 days.

Your choices and rights

Security

Data travels over HTTPS, passwords are hashed with Argon2, and each account can only reach its own data.

Children

Blade is not meant for anyone under 16. If you believe a child has created an account, write to us and we will delete it.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will say so in the app before it takes effect.
